Our Story
Shanu Gems has been a family business since 1980.
The company began when Pramod brought his family’s gemstone cutting background from Jaipur to New York, establishing a foundation rooted in craftsmanship and precision. Over the decades, Shanu grew alongside the needs of U.S. jewelry manufacturers and designers, expanding inventory, refining calibration standards, and developing a disciplined approach to consistency across sizes, shapes, and colors.
Today, Rohan is actively involved in the business, continuing that focus with a modern, production oriented mindset, building on Shanu’s reputation as the Kings of Calibration to create systems that designers and manufacturers can plan around.
